Lineas appoints Matthieu Aernouts as Country Manager for Lineas France
Lineas, Europe’s largest private rail freight company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthieu Aernouts as Country Manager of Lineas France. Matthieu has been successfully leading the French operations on an interim basis the last months and will now officially take on this role to continue driving the company’s strategic vision in the French market.
Matthieu Aernouts joined Lineas two years ago, bringing with him extensive experience across several sectors, including the French Navy, aeronautics, logistics, and railways. Matthieu, who holds both an engineering degree and an MBA, is well-equipped to lead Lineas France into the future. His extensive knowledge and deep understanding of the company's operations, combined with the support of the entire Lineas France team, will ensure the continued delivery of high-quality service to Lineas’ customers.
Over the past years, Lineas has firmly established itself as one of the top three rail freight companies operating in France. As Lineas continues to expand its presence in the French market, Matthieu's leadership will become even more critical.
Indeed, as part of its ongoing growth strategy, Lineas has extended its operations to the South of France, deploying its own trains and creating a dedicated network that now reaches as far as Perpignan.
