Lineas appoints Andreas Plikat as Country Manager for the Netherlands
Lineas, Europe’s largest private rail freight operator, today announces a leadership transition for its operations in the Netherlands.
Andreas Plikat, who currently serves as Country Manager for Lineas Germany, will take on the role of Country Manager for both Germany and the Netherlands, effective as of April 1st, 2024.
This strategic decision reflects Lineas' ambition to optimize operations and maximize synergies across its European network. The consolidation of leadership for Germany and the Netherlands is in line with the strategy to increase efficiency and encourage collaboration across borders. By merging the management positions, Lineas aims to cultivate a unified company culture and strengthen its position on the international market.
The responsibilities of Andreas Plikat in the Netherlands will include strengthening Lineas' presence in the Dutch rail freight market, with a particular focus on cultivating key partnerships such as the Port of Rotterdam, a central hub in European trade.
